What the hell is going on?
One moment, it's just another ordinary day. And then, the next headline drops—airstrikes between Iran and Israel. Bombs fall. Sirens wail. Screens light up with breaking news, and lives fall apart in real time.
What kind of world are we living in, where war feels like a calendar event?
Aren’t natural disasters already enough? Floods, earthquakes, wildfires—we can barely handle those. But these wars, these man-made tragedies, they are born out of ego, control, revenge… not necessity. And the people who suffer? They're almost always the ones who had no part in starting any of it.
Families who just wanted a quiet evening. Children who were in school that morning. Strangers who never picked a side, but had a home in the wrong place.
What are we doing? And more importantly—what are we becoming?
Why is it so hard to protect peace? Why do the ones in power get to play god, while the rest of the world watches in silence, unable to do much more than pray?
Can we please bring humanity back?
And to those of us not living through it—please don’t look away. The fact that we get to go to sleep without fear is a privilege. Let’s not take that for granted.
Hope is not enough anymore, but it’s something. So let’s hold onto it, together.
Please stay safe.
And please, stay human.
Yours,
A Sad Human
